Eric Eugene Spencer

Eric was born on March 25, 1973, in Chicago. He attended the Chicago Public Schools.
As a teenager, Eric's heart was always with his family, whether visiting them in the South or spending quality time with his loved ones. He was also passionate about boxing and was skilled in various hands-on activities.
Eric was a pillar of the community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether helping elderly neighbors with home repairs or assisting friends with moving.
Eric's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his surviving family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Thelma Spencer, and his nephews Justin and Jayden Pettway. He is survived by his son, Eric Brown; mother, Iris Spencer-Thomas (Herman Thomas); sister, Becky Pettway (Jesse); grandfather William Spencer; aunt, Gail Smith; and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews..
